I am not a chef!
Alot of people always ask why I don’t put self-taught chef on my description or when I talk about myself. The fact of the matter is I’m not self self-taught, I’ve been taught by hundreds of people my whole life starting off from my father. I have been learning cooking my whole life and even when I travel I take classes from locals in every country that I visit. I learned from my mother-in-law, Umm Othman, God bless her the sweetest woman that I know, has taught me so much about Middle Eastern cuisine. So no I’m not a self-taught chef and I don’t have a degree and I can’t plate pretty or make fancy meals so I don’t call myself a chef. I have total respect and admiration for real chefs and could never think to pretend to be one! I am just an individual who loves food and and I’m confident enough in the kitchen with skills and knowledge of ingredients that I can put a meal together. I’m someone that wants to feed good meals to my family especially in a society now where almost everybody’s got some kind of illness or obesity problem. I love food! I love spices! I love the ingredients that God has given us and are surrounding us. I am fascinated that in every country there’s different versions of the same kind of ingredients that give you different results in flavor and texture. I’ve learned a lot of techniques along the way on my journey, I have a lot of real chef friends and I am just like an open book I want to learn and record everything from them. So by no means am I self-taught at all and I stand firm by that! I’m not ashamed of that, I’m just somebody whose confident in the kitchen and loves it and shares that experience with all of you!
Love more and laugh alot. Eat well and move around. Life is a blessing so live it right!

Miracle Honey
Many of you have experienced using turmeric as a spice, for preparation of the widely known golden milk, or as a strong supplement found in healthy food stores. Did you know that our turmeric combined with honey and blackseed combined becomes an invaluable natural remedy?! Turmeric has strong anti-inflammatory properties, destroys bacteria that cause diseases and promotes the body’s natural defenses. Blackseed was reported from Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) to cure everything but death. Honey was also mentioned in the Quran of its healing benefits. So Infusions KW put them all together!
Unlike synthetic antibiotics found in the pharmacy, turmeric has no negative effects on the intestinal micro flora. The use of our Turmeric Blackseed Honey improves digestion and increases the beneficial flora activity in the gut. It is traditional natural remedy, antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties.
At the first sign of cold or flu symptoms:
Day 1 – Take ½ tsp. every hour during the day.
Day 2 – Take ½ tsp. every two hours during the day.
Day 3 – Take ½ tsp. three times a day.
The mixture should stay in the mouth until its completely dissolved. Do not drink anything for 5 minutes.
Don’t throw those strings away from fresh corn!
Do you often throw away the string-like fibers from the end of corns when buy fresh corn? Well don’t! These fibers, also known as corn silk, can be made into a tea that comes with a variety of health benefits.
Corn silk tea is also a wonderful home remedy for kidney problems. It is highly effective in treating conditions including painful urination, urinary tract infection, bladder infection, inflammation of the urinary system, and kidney stones.
Corn silk tea is great for people with high blood pressure. It helps in reducing the levels of blood sugar by increasing insulin levels in the body. It is also an excellent natural treatment for congestive heart failure, diabetes, high cholesterol.
Making corn silk tea is easy.
Boil 1 tablespoon of corn silk (chopped) in 1 cup of water. Once it is done, cover the pan and allow it to steep for 15 to 20 minutes. When it is cool enough to drink, you can add 1 teaspoon of our popular honey.
If you do a batch send me a pic! Have a great weekend.

Taste the Rainbow
Taste the rainbow. What do I mean? No, not the pack of juicy Skittles candy that we all secretly love even at our age! ? I am just reminding myself (and my readers), to make simple adjustment to eat MORE real food daily and you will see difference in your gut health, skin, hair, moods, sleep, headaches etc. If you do this for 30 days, your body will crave the fresh fruit and vegetables and not the over processed crap. Pringles tastes like cardboard now to me. I never thought i would see one my kids eat raw sliced bell peppers (red, green, yellow) for a snack! They beg for fruits when we go grocery shopping! They used to beg for Nutella, Doritos, McVites, all kinds of cookies, well you get the picture. Honestly, change can happen if you try! Parents stay strong and change for your home will come! Eat well. Play Alot. Live long. Take care of yourself and others. Xoxo Patty

Summer Reflections – November Aspirations
?As we welcome the 1st day of November, I remember that summer was amazing! How about yours?Where did you go? What did you see? Most importantly, WHAT DID YOU EAT?! Haha! The Infusions KW family roamed Turkey and it is honestly one of my favorite destinations I have ever been to (and we travel alot). So much to love about Turkey; the weather, the landscape, deep history, kind people, and tantalizing food all made such an impression on me. I learned about their most common spices and flavor palette while imdulging some cooking recipes. Turkey will definitely be my inspiration for Infusions this Fall season.
Just wanted to say a quick hello and highlight what’s coming up in November. If you haven’t done so already, please Sign up for our monthly newsletter.
?November’s newsletter marks our first of the new season after a long hiatus. We were reorganizing from within (including our admin queen welcoming a new bundle of joy), creating new spices, and revamping our website (thanks to our volunteer computer Jedi who also taught me how to use this WordPress thingy right now haha!). Alot of NEW exciting things coming your way this season!
The first of our recipe videos will be on YouTube this week! Press this link, please like and subscribe! My personal goals for November is to take advantage of the cool weather now in Kuwait (yes I live in Inferno in summer) and lead a more healthier lifestyle. Which includes more home prepped meals. Will be back later this week with some more yummy stuff and keep all of you updated.
God bless. Eat well. Play alot. Love yourself. Live long.

Bay Leaf Benefits
Happy Friday K-town! May all your deeds be accepted on this blessed day and all days of your life. Amen.
The never ending uses of spices amd herbs in our life is amazing and inspiring! Healing with everything God gave us here on this great Earth to use and care for in His Glory and be grateful and humble.
School Lunches
Good morning K-town. As i sit and think what fruits and veggies I need to get for home and the business, I feel upset inside because the kind of junk food available at my children’s schools. No matter how hard we try at home the influence of environment at school can interfere with our healthy lifestyle journey. My youngest Sara takes pride in packing her healthy snack and tries to teach her friends (including teachers) at school about how bad sugar and msg is. My son sometimes does and sometimes no but tries to buy “healthy” like corn or kabob next to baqala mall by their school. The soda and icecream is so tempting especislly if your whole squad if boys (all over weight i might add) are drinking and eating junk. Never underestimate peer pressure. However, my 9th graders wouldn’t pack a snack to take school if life depended on it lol! I give them money and pray they make good choices. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t. I don’t look forward to finding wrappers of nasty candy in pocket uniforms or of chips in their school bags. Ok venting done, now back to my grocery list at fruit/veggies market.
